The Mandrill is a kind of monkey. It could grow up to 6 feet tall when it stands up. A baby Mandrill's fur is black and pink. When the baby is two months old, it sheds its baby fur and the adult fur grows. The adult male's fur are blue, red, lavender, and gold colors but the adult female's fur is duller. Female Mandrills are half the size of a male Mandrill.
The mandrill's nose looks like the nose of a pig and a horse and color of the nose are white and pink. Their teeth are sharp and they eat fruits, nuts, grass, herbs, and little animals. Only leopards hunt for Mandrills. They have long arms that help them climb on trees. These animals live in the rain forest of the African countries Congo, Guinea, and Camaroon near the Equator . They stomp their feet very hard because they are strong when they are excited. Their mouth has a pouch in which they store food for later. The Mandrills are endangered because the African people hunt them for their meat.
